Steamboat Ski Weekend

Last week, I took a day and a half off of work, picked up my friend Christy at the airport, and we headed to Steamboat Resort in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. The late snows in Colorado have made the ski resorts a little bare, but over the last couple weeks, all of the resorts have been working hard to open as much terrain as possible. When we started skiing on Friday there were 35/135 trails open at Steamboat. They even opened one of the largest lifts the morning we got there. Storm Peak Express, I love you!

Getting on the mountain with a lot of snow!

I went to Steamboat Springs, CO in July for a bachelorette party, and it was a blast. However, I knew that these trips would be very different!! All in all, the snow was awesome. Steamboat got about 10 inches at the summit (top of the mountain) while we were there. We skied Friday and Saturday and had a blast!

Have you ever been to Steamboat? It’s a magical town, especially during the holidays!

On Saturday night, I went to dinner in Denver. More about the restaurant on Friday’s blog. But I loved these beers at the Historian!
