Ski day

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! It was a great weekend, I spent Friday with friends at a brewery, and Saturday my book club went to the mountains. We had a lot of fun! How was your weekend? Also, apparently its GREEN MONDAY (green as in savings, not green beauty which is how I originally interpreted it…). Did you get anything good? I decided to wait out until after Christmas to get a few more things. I got my last gifts today, so I’m happy about that! Today I wanted to chat with you about my first ski day of the year! A couple weeks ago, I hit up Breckenridge and it was great to get a first ski day in!

Usually I’m that weirdo who likes to ski a few runs in November, even though the snow isn’t great. But with my accounting job, I can’t get very many ski days in between Jan-March. And when I do get ski days in then, I’m usually pretty tired from work. Since I’ve lived in Colorado, this is the latest I’ve started skiing. Needless to say, I was SOOO excited to get to the mountains.

Last year I had the Rocky Mountain Super Pass, and this year I went back to the Epic Local pass. I had missed the cute ski towns of Breck, and Vail. I can’t wait to get a day in at Vail too. My friend and I slept in, and got to the mountain around 10am. Also, its worthy to note that the free shuttle lot is pretty quick to the gondola. I probably should have been doing that all this time instead of paying for the gondola lot.

The lines were long, and there weren’t a lot of runs open, but I was really happy to be back on the mountain. And I quickly realized how sore my legs get from skiing, better work on those leg exercises. I grabbed a beer with friends after we did a few runs, and I headed back to Denver.

I’m really excited to take a few days off next week and hit up the mountains again. Hope those snow machines are working like crazy!

Thanks Amanda for letting me Link up today!
