Hi everybody! Happy Tuesday. Did any of you have the day off? My teacher friends and a few others did, I was pretty jealous of them. This weekend was a fun one, to recap- Friday was VERY uneventful, I got home from work/errands around 630, made dinner, hung out and fell asleep at 845PM. It was AWESOME, and it was much needed because I got up really early on Saturday am to go skiing. We went as a group of 6 to A Basin, and it was a lot of fun. The snow was significantly better, but it was really crowded. Still a fun day none the less. When I got back to Denver I went on a short run, and then went to meet some friends for brewery hopping. Sunday was pretty low key, morning church and volunteering with the confirmation students. That was followed by errands and catching up on work. Today I wanted to touch base with you for Photos Lately #6.
Five of us hosted a Christmas Toy party for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Denver. The church holds a Christmas store for families in need. Our friends came to hang out and all of them brought a gift or two for the Christmas store. We brought over 100 gifts to the store!! I also volunteered at the Christmas store wrapping gifts!
Love Mild Denver weather in December. Views from my favorite park- Wash Park!
My book club girls did an overnight in Breckenridge to hang out and drink wine together! We watched Anastasia the movie, since one of the books we read was about the Romanov’s in Russia! It was such a fun night!
I took a class at the Pilates Studio, its on my block! It was a great workout, and I want to go back! I’ll share a review after I take a few more classes there!
The sayings under the MegaReformer machines at Fierce 45 crack me up! They are fun little motivators for your workout!
Went to Christmas Eve service at my church in Minneapolis. It was amazing as always!
I love Stirfry from Big Bowl in Minneapolis. Big Bowl has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was about 10 years old. It’s a blessing and a curse that they don’t have one in Denver. But seriously, their stirfry bar is goals.
Lastly, this is a weird but throwback meal. When I was growing up, my parents got really sick of eating spaghetti. So they made up this meal– noodles and chili and it was always a staple at home. Now I use vegetarian chili, but the meal is still pretty tasty! Do you have any random family meals that you eat?
January started off with some PTO and lots of skiing! It was a blast!
I convinced/forced my cousins to go ice skating with me on New Years eve. It was -10 below, so we couldn’t go outside for very long. But it was still fun and nice to get out of the house!
Cheesy potatoes are life.
A Basin with this crew, shout to Mizz for being in town from San Fran.
A morning run in the mountains near my friends parents house!
We celebrated a friends birthday at Breckenridge. I tried to get everyone to organize themselves in Rainbow order, it kind of worked??
Have you tried rootz nutrition? Their product tasted really good in my smoothies!
Got back in the pool for the first time since August. It was definitely challenging. I want to swim more, but its hard to motivate myself to swim in the winter. Anyone with me on that?
Went back to A Basin with a few friends. It snowed a lot that week, but it was really crowded with Martin Luther King long weekend skiers. I wish I would have had monday off like them!
