It’s the freakin weekend baby and I’m out to have me some fun! Well almost, one work day ahead of me before the weekend. I did most of my long run before work today, and I’m hoping to finish it up after work. Then I head to the airport again. I’m becoming quite the regular, I will be in MN/WI for 11 days before coming back to Denver. Before I head out of town, I wanted to share some photos lately with you! It’s been almost two months since the last photos update, so here we go.
I was in a wedding in June in Dallas, and it was beautiful. The wedding was at a vineyard on top of the hill. It was awesome!! There was a big group of Denver people at the wedding and it was fun to see the bride and groom. They used to live in Denver, but now they live in Houston, TX.
I went mountain climbing with two friends in July. I rented a bike from a local bike shop, it was a very nice Specialized Bike and i got a good rental rate on it. We went to Green Mountain which has a lot of trails. It was a fun day, but we ended up getting lost on the other side of Green Mountain. I fell off my bike and had lots of scrapes and bruises. My plan is to recap that a little more, but I haven’t had the chance yet!
Rock climbing! I went to Movement Climbing Gym a few weeks ago also! It was a lot of fun. I was able to try some harder routes, and I felt really strong. I think that my swimming has made my arms stronger.
Food– I ordered Prefare Meals this week, and I got scallop and pea risotto with salad and white wine vinagrette. It was really good! I love the vegetarian and pescetarian options on there. If you live in Denver, you should check it out.
Roasted chick peas, I made a lot of roasted chick peas this month. I made them with garlic powder and salt and pepper. Such a good snack!
Went to a Define Denver Bounce class. It was a lot of fun to be on the trampoline. I’m not great at rhythmic workout classes, but my friend and I enjoyed the class a lot.
Morning swims at Grant Ranch Open Water are awesome. The course starts swimming into the sunrise, and its cool to see the sun rise throughout my time in the water.
Had an awesome weekend at Lake Redstone (near Reedsburg, WI) with friends. It was a Colorado girls reunion trip. We flew to Minneapolis and drove together. One night we grilled and had salmon burgers. They were delicious and we also spent a lot of time on my friends boat!
My company had an event where we took students to the Broncos Stadium. We were able to go to the locker room, pass and punt on the field, and go on a tour. It was a really awesome event, and I think we enjoyed it more than the students. At least I did!
My friend Abby and her boyfriend were in town from Wisconsin. We went to Fitness on the Rocks and then on the Coors Brewery tour in Golden. I had a great time with them, and then I get to see Abby next weekend at a wedding!
Inspiralized, sweet potato vegetarian carbonara. So delicious!
