Friday Faves #25

Three posts in one week! Can you believe it? Wanted to share a few favorites with you today before I head back to Denver!

Friday Faves #25

HGG Reset Spicy Sweet Potato Black Bean Soup. Seriously this soup is soooo good. I made a big batch and I’ve been eating it over time. It’s a hearty soup that will fill you up! For a couple meals, I bought baked potatoes and served the soup over them. It was really good! I spoke in detail about the HGG reset last Friday Faves┬ábut let me know if you want more information. Use my link to purchase. Once busy season is over, I want to make more the recipes, the snacks look AMAZING.

True Food Kitchen Winter Menu– as you guys might know, I am obsessed with True Food Kitchen. I went there with a friend on Sunday night. She wanted to balance out her meals from the weekend and I was dying to try their new stuff. I got the Cashew Pad Thai, and it was sooooo good, I was too busy eating every last bite to take a picture, but it was delicious.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman. My book club actually read this book a year ago, but they always raved about how good it was, so I decided to check it out. This book is SOOO GOOD. I really like the character, Ove, who is a grumpy and very structured man. The story goes through his current and past life and his interactions with his neighbor. Ove is a bit of a Scrooge, but you start to uncover a lot about his life. My book club actually read, My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry for Jan 2018, and I didn’t enjoy it. I didn’t like the characters from that book, they were hard to related to.

Workout notes

When I started all my health issues in August, I put my OrangeTheory Fitness membership on hold. I was pretty disappointed about this, and after 3 months of holds, I cancelled my membership. While I was gone, the studio changed a bit, and one of my favorite instructors started teaching less classes at our studio. Once I got the A-OK to start workout again, I was really excited to get back to OrangeTheory. I missed the high intensity workouts and pushing myself for 60 minutes.

I took a single class on Sunday, and I purchased a 10-pack this week! I’m really excited about it, I struggled if I should get a 10-pack or a basic membership (4 classes a month). But with work travel, a Fierce 45 studio 10-pack, and my struggles with waking up in the morning, I decided a 10-pack was right for now. This may change depending on training in the next few months, but I’m really happy with my decision!
