Happy Friday everyone! I’m heading back to Minnesota for a wedding and the MN state fair today. Check out insta stories to follow along. This week has been interesting. I had an all day training at work on Tuesday. I ended up skipping out on the afternoon session for a quick trip to the ER. It had been over 20 years since I went to the ER. On Wednesday and Thursday I went to more doctors and various tests, but no answers yet (UGH). Trying to keep the pain down and enjoy life throughout the long weekend. So sorry for the lack of exercise related posts, I haven’t worked out since Monday (EEEK) and just trying to stay busy. Today I wanted to talk to you about FOOTBALL season! I follow college football more than NFL but this year I joined two fantasy football leagues and one pick em league. So maybe my allegiances will change.
If you’ve followed this blog before, you know I’m a huge Wisconsin Badger fan! GO BADGERS! We don’t have any big games for a few more weeks but I’m still excited to support my team! Also go packers! They play the Seahawks this week!
This year I’m also watching Colorado football and rooting for them. It was a lot of fun last year to watch their success and see them do well. There is a big inter-state rival game tonight between Colorado and Colorado State. This weekend, my plan was to run a 10K in Fort Collins that went through their stadium. At this point, I probably won’t go due to health issues and the drive up there (about 1.5 hours) but I do love college football stadiums. Colorado State just got a new one!
One thing about football season I’m excited for is – football parties and tailgates. Bring on the cheese dip, black bean dip, chili (sweet potato chili for me), and all the soup. This year I want to make homemade buffalo cauliflower! I’ll report back with my recipe.
