A Colorado Based Fitness, Food, Travel, and Lifestyle Blog

Resources

WordPress.ORG , unknown to me when I started blogging, there is a difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you ever plan to monetize your blog, I would recommend setting it up on WordPress.org . It is a lot easier to set it up properly first than to switch it later. I had some issues once I transferred mine, but now that I’m all set up I’ve really enjoyed my new blog!

Bluehost, is a self-hosting website. This means that I own the domain to my website, www.themilestraveled.com . Now that my blog is set up on Bluehost, I am able to use it any way I would like. Once I set this hosting up, I haven’t had any issues with it and my blog works the same way as before. I really enjoy the functionalities with Bluehost and the email services provided. Click on the link above to set up Bluehost.

Blogging for Keeps, I love their resources, including How to Start a Blog in 5 minutes or less

Theme: The Big Picture, from thefoxandshe. There are many great themes here and easy to use and install.

If you have any questions about starting a new blog, please reach out to me at caitlin@themilestraveled.com ! Happy Blogging!
