Slopeside Steamboat

Remember when I went to Steamboat in December? It was a pretty great trip. Three weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go back!! Once again, it was so much fun!!! The last time I was in Steamboat, only 1/3 of the terrain was open, and this time, the whole mountain was open!!  I went with two college friends (now Denver friends), and we had a blast exploring the mountain.

When we started skiing on Friday there were 35/135 trails open at Steamboat. They even opened one of the largest lifts the morning we got there. Storm Peak Express, I love you!

We went to Cub Lake , also check out- RMNP Hiking Trails. It took about one hour and 45 minutes from Denver to drive to the trail head. RMNP always feels like a long drive from Denver, but its pretty reasonable. (more…)
