Breakfast club

This morning’s work out was a Power Day at OrangeTheory Fitness. It was a fun way to start the day.

During the work week, I usually pack my breakfast and heat it up and eat it at work. My coworkers usually give me a hard time about what I eat since they choose to avoid most vegetables. In the past year or two, I learned about how harmful sugar is to the human body. Fed Up, is a well produced movie that explains the reasons behind this theory. After watching this movie, I tried to cut out some of my sugar heavy breakfast foods- certain cereals, granola bars and yogurts in favor of more natural breakfasts. Also, as a vegetarian, I eat a lot of eggs for breakfast to give me additional protein.

Recently, I’ve been making Customizable Egg Muffins by PB Fingers. Her version includes meat which I skip in my recipe. This weeks muffins are made with red pepper, onion, and green zucchini. I bought all of these vegetables at the local farmers market! I really enjoy this breakfast because I only have to do the dishes once for about 5 days of food!! Also, these egg muffins can be frozen if you make them in bulk.img_1246

Things I’m loving this week-

My purchases from the #NSale at Nordstrom including these Zella leggings. Zella leggings are my favorite and they have great deals during the sale.

Whole Foods Peanut Coconut Sauce, tastes good on stirfry. I like to think its healthy because its from Whole Foods 🙂

This months edition of 5280 magazine which talk about all things Denver. Let’s be honest, I love this magazine every month. But this edition got me excited about football season! Go Broncos and Packers!
